Postmodern blog pilgrimage. lately I've been writing more about the post-season than the postmodern, and not blogging about much at all. Meantime a lot of great online conversations are going on. A few that recently caught my eye.
One of my favorite bloggers on postmodernism, Fred Peatross, discusses spirituality in his most recent blog entry. Back in the day, Peatross says, a person's spirituality level could be measured by church attendance. (That's a guage many churches are still, hopelessly, trying to use.) But true spirituality, he writes, "is not about knowing Scripture, nor is about praying all day long. Spirituality isn't a formula; it’s not a test. It’s not about competency; spirituality is all about intimacy and connection."
