Workers of the world, unite and blog!
The Guardian has an interesting report on the rise of anonymous workplace bloggers, with a series of interviews with these reporters from the trenches. Today's interviews is with Mr. Teacher, who vents about teaching at The Report Card. Created as "definitely a personal thing," Mr. Teacher's blog is where "I vent the frustration that work causes me." Previous interviews are with Wrapstar, a call center team manager who blogs at Call Center Confidential, and with Dr. Dre, an employee of a major fast food company, who blogs at Doing Less Harm.

Why do workers blog on company time? The Guardian offers one theory:

You could argue that job blogs are a way of kicking back against our overwork culture. As people work longer hours, blogging is a way of wasting a little time and claiming back some mental space. It's a way of dealing with office stress by taking control and making work "your story" - a comedy in which the blogger has the starring role and all the best lines.

Huh. And here I thought it was just to slack off while appearing to be working diligently at your computer.
