Best new comedy so far That honor would have to go to "My Name Is Earl". I watched the premiere last night. Hilarious stuff. It's got a real "Raising Arizona"/Coen Brothers vibe, with a dose of Kevin Smith's existential humor tossed in. Kevin Smith has no doubt rubbed off on Jason Lee (the title character), as Lee has worked with Smith in "Mall Rats," "Dogma" and probably another movie or two.
I tend to appreciate shows and movies that poke fun at America's white trash underbelly. Looks like "My Name Is Earl" will do that.
On a sadder note, I was not so impressed with the premiere of "The Office". I hope it picks up with future episodes.
To end on a bright note, "Arrested Development" picked up where it left off -- quirky as ever.
Those are probably the only three TV shows I'll try to catch on a regular basis. Sitcoms are all I can stand these days. No time for TV drama or so-called reality.
