Live, from the Blog, it's Tuesday morning! That's Tuesday morning, Oct. 11, the date Saturday Night Live premiered 30 years ago. (The proof's in the final paragraph of the official site's "about" page. One would think they'd trumpet this occasion a bit more.) It's gotta be tough to stay funny and relevant for such a long run, but SNL has managed to do so -- much of the time. Still, there's nothing like the early stuff. Who can forget:
Rosanne Rosanna Danna
"I'm Chevy Chase...and you're not!"
"We're two wild and crazy guys!"
The Killer Christmas Tree.
"Jane, you ignorant slut."
Elvis Costello's SNL performance of "Radio, Radio."
