Under the weather I must've eaten some bad chili last night (a dinner at church). Today I've got a bad case of the stomach crud, and now the joint aches are chiming in, too. So I came home from work, munched down a Pepcid AC, and watched a rerun of "The West Wing" on Bravo.
That's my morning thus far. Time to take it easy by visiting some blogs. I'll probably find some postworthy stuff, but in the meantime, here's tidbit of trivia, courtesy of my big bro. Did you know there are 45 percent more dogs in Seattle than there are children, but in Salt Lake City, there are nearly 19 percent more kids than dogs. Makes me wonder why the Seattle animal shelters don't ship some of those pups to the poor deprived kids in Utah. Actually, there's more to it. It seems "progressives" (the article's word, not mine) tend to have fewer kids than -- hmmm, what's the opposite of progressives? Anyway, it could portend for a more conservative future -- "one in which patriarchy and other traditional values make a comeback, if only by default."
