New podcast: stuff I've been listening to lately Now that I've wrapped up my 100 life-changing albums project, I'm getting back in the podcast groove and catching you up with some recent musical discoveries. This eclectic mix features recent stuff from some new artists (The Fondas, the Pipettes, Dark Meat, The Black Neon) and a couple of old punks (John Doe [formerly of X] and The Buzzcocks), and is bookended by two of my all-time favorite musicians who defy classification -- Paul Simon and Johnny Cash.
1. Paul Simon - Outrageous (from Surprise) 2. The Fondas - Tied Emotions (from Runaway Bombshell) 3. The John Doe Thing - The Unhappy Song (from For the Best of Us) 4. The Pipettes - Dirty Mind (from We Are the Pipettes) 5. Dark Meat - Angel of Meth (from Universal Indians) 6. The Buzzcocks - I've Had Enough (from Flat-Pack Philosophy) 7. Trentalange - Monster (from Photo Album of Complex Relationships) 8. The Black Neon - Ralph and Barbara (from Arts & Crafts) 9. Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down (from American V: A Hundred Highways)
