Cardinals take 3-1 lead in World Series Decent pitching, clutch hitting by David Eckstein and Yadier Molina, and more bonehead Detroit Tiger errors gave the St. Louis Cardinals a 5-4 victory Thursday over the Tigers in Game 4 of the World Series. Can the Cards win it all tonight?
GO CARDS!
P.S. to Detroit fans: I know your team is better than they've been playing. (Their performance reminds me of the 2004 Cardinals, who got swept by the Red Sox in the World Series.) But now that Pudge is heating up, maybe something will happen. Remember 1968? The Cardinals were ahead, 3-1, and Detroit ended up taking the final three games to win the title. (And any Royals fans reading remember that the Cards were up 3-1 in the '85 World Series, too, before losing the next three games and the title.)
