Tim Robbins introduces Green Day
Green Day opens with "American Idiot" -- uncensored -- on the Berlin stage. Billie Joe Armstrong screams out Deutschland! after the first verse, and the crowd cheers. Those Germans love "American Idiot." They body surf. They pogo. They cheer. They even chant in unison: Calling out to idiot America.

Armstrong: "I want you to scream so f*cking loud that everybody hears you all over the world!"

The audiance: Mad cheering.

Next song: "Holiday."

Armstrong, introducing "Holiday": "This song ain't anti-American. It's anti-war."

Then he proceeds to sing off key. It sounds sloppy, crappy, but full of energy -- which is just the way punk rock is supposed to sound.
