What if God were one of us? Just a blog like one of us? From Michelle's Dialog blog comes word of a soon-to-be-released book from Multnomah, the same folks who brought us The Prayer of Jabez, The Prayer of Jabez: 5th Anniversary Edition, Beyond Jabez, Jabez for Kids, Revenge of the Jabez and a whole slew of other Jabez-related product. The book, God's Blogs: Life From God's Perspective, offers a God's-eye view of the blogosphere, as told by Lanny Donoho, who somehow managed to hack into God's blogger account to access His deepest thoughts. According to the Amazon book description, God's Blogs "is a humorous yet moving, fictional yet insightful book containing a series of online journal entries from God."
Oh. Wait a minute. It's fiction. Okay, so this is imagining what God would blog about if he were a blogger. Gotcha.
"Lanny Donoho's unique style and perspective allows readers to see things from God's vantage point as He watches the world and delivers His day to day reactions and thoughts. It's God's journal...as envisioned and penned by a human writer, of course. Some are lighthearted, others profound, but each entry illuminates a biblical truth in a whole new way that will meet you right here, right now!"
A human writer envisioning how God might communicate to other humans? Hmmm....Is that possible?
P.S. - Yes, even though I'm poking fun at the book, I've linked to Amazon's page on it via my own Amazon.com associates account. If you're going to buy the book, you might as well make me rich in the process, right?
