Ten years ago
I was 35. Our office had had email for about a year, and I was exploring the fascinating world of Usenet.

Five years ago
I was 40, diagnosed with diabetes, and in for some major changes to my eating and exercise habits. My first book had been published a year earlier, and I was at work on the second.

One year ago
At about this time a year ago, I stopped blogging for a few months.

Five yummy things
Tostitos topped with melted Monterey jack cheese and picante sauce.
A thick slab of prime rib, medium rare, with horseradish.
Red beans and rice.
Chocolate cheesecake with cherries and whipped cream.
Fresh blueberries. I eat them by the fistful.

Some remote island somewhere, as long as it had an Internet connection.

White socks with sandals.
