How to dismantle an anatomic bombshell
Slutty songstress Mariah Carey received eight Grammy nominations, but U2 carried the evening, winning five trophies at last night's Grammy Awards.

U2 won album of the year for How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, song of the year for "Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own," best rock performance by a duo or group with vocal for "Sometimes...," best rock song for "City of Blinding Lights," and best rock album for How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. Not a bad showing for an album that, by this band's standards, is in the middle of the pack.

Mariah, meanwhile, won three awards. So did Kanye West.

Since I didn't watch the awards show (I was ailing, and once I got home from church I drank a cup of chamonile tea and went to bed), I'm turning it over to a few bloggers who did.

Drake comments on Sly Stone's mohawk, calling it "Easily the weirdest moment in grammy history since 'Soy Bomb' crashed Dylan's performance in '98."

Right Wing Religious Wacko talks about Bono's performance of "One" with Mary J. Blige during last night's ceremonies. Quoth the Wacko: "Watching U2 and Blige perform 'One' that night moved me to tears - this is what music is all about."

The Grammys suck.
