K.W.A.: Kotter With Attitude
There's a big-screen adaptation of the '70s sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter in the works, with Ice Cube reprising Gabe Kaplan's role as Mr. Kotter. According to the MTV News report: "Cube will assume the role of a wisecracking teacher who returns to the rough inner-city high school from which he graduated. There he encounters the next generation of unruly, underprivileged troublemakers — who are as apathetic about education as he once was.

Hat tip to Stereogum, which puts $20 on the line that Snoop will play Horshack. "He'll be in any movie."

In the comments section of Stereogum's post, you'll find hip-hop suggestions for other cast members ("Matisyahu as Epstein" cracks me up), as well as this gem of a theme song, no doubt with some of the John Sebastian original remixed in.
